Linda Major teaches Advanced Productions and the IB theatre program at Leander High School. She is the Fine Arts Department Chair as well as the UIL coordinator. She received her BSE from Mary Hardin Baylor University and her MA in directing from Southwest Texas University. She has achieved State award-winning results during her years at Leander High School, and has served on the state board for the International Thespian Society. Linda is named to the National "Who's Who of American Teachers" and was honored with being selected for the UIL Southwestern Bell Sponsor Excellence Award. She was also recognized by Governor Rick Perry as one of Texas' top educators. More recently, she has been presented with the K-EYE Silver Apple Award. In August of 2004, Major traveled with her students to Edinburgh, Scotland where they were honored as one of the top two theatre departments in the state of Texas. |
